What does our qualification give you? Our qualification gives you a CYQ/YMCA Certificate at REPS LEVEL 3, YOGA ALLIANCE 200HRS and Membership to the European Yoga Alliance and International Yoga Federation, The World Governing Body of Yoga. Advanced BWY Diploma course will now be a post-graduate course. Our SPY CYQ Level 3 course now covers all our instructors to work in Gyms, Health clubs, Schools, Hospitals and any where here in the UK, Europe and the World. In these financialy challenged times: why pay for 2 courses when you can get what you need at the highest level from this one intensive concentrated course? Why indeed!

What to expect on your courses.

Yoga Teacher Training intensives in the UK are 12 one day Sunday workshops over 3 months plus 8 workshop days over the next 6months. Our 2 week residential courses abroad follow the same format with homestudy on your return.

The Sun Power Yoga Centre UK are committed to working for and with our teachers, through their teacher training and after. We have worked very hard to prove our standards are high. Our school is here to support all our teachers and to maintain a professional level of teaching.

What you will cover on Sun Power Yoga CYQ/YMCA REPS LEVEL 3, YA 200hrs  ideal for those who want more knowlegde in all areas and to upgrade their qualifcation.Especially useful for medical, sports, dance and fitness professionals. Those with other qualifications may feel its time to refresh and update thier Yoga Teacher Training .

  WE ARE OFFERING A CONVERSION COURSE FOR TEACHERS WHO WANT REPS LEVEL 3.

  We are delighted to be able to offer this course to qualified teachers of other traditions who want to access the REPS LEVEL 3 status but have been unable to due to their particular training not being approved or accredited. The CYQ course is the 12 weeks course we run now but you need only attend week 1-5 plus an assessment day week 11 or 12 this includes your EFK LEVEL 3 . Entry to this course will be by interview and application only. If you think  this is for you then contact us and give us some idea of your experience, training and years of practice. Newly qualified teachers will not be able to apply until they have been teaching for a year.

Yoga Teacher Training Course Entry Requirements

SUN POWER YOGA 200HRS (formerly level 1) and YMCA LEVEL 3 REPS 180 CONTACT HOURS. CYQ IS 256 IN TOTAL WITH STUDY TIME AS WE ARE A REPS LEVEL 3 AND APPROVED YMCA CENTRE ALL OUR GRADUATES WILL BE ABLE TO WORK IN ALL HEALTH CLUBS, GYMS, GOVERNMENT BUILDINGS, HOSPITALS AND SCHOOLS AS WELL AS ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD I.E:EUROPE, UK, USA, AUSTRALIA, NZ.

• This is a certified and insured qualification which is recognised internationally.
• The course is held in Leicester and London, UK,Greece, and Spain, its duration is 3 months/12 weeks one day a week; with up to 12 Months to study, come to workshops, complete  written work where appropriate and be mentored.
• This will depend on how you complete your YMCA/CYQ Portfolio. We all work differently and we respect that.
• You will be able to do practice teaching during the course as you will be fully insured from the start of your course.
• Each week you will participate in a complete days workshop, this will be a hard days work!
• Each week you will cover a different aspect of your course. You will be required to complete tasks set for you in between our meetings set as homework.
• You will be required to write an essay on the particular module we will be working on and to read the appropriate books on your given reading list.
• We will encourage you to do 2 classes a week with a qualified yoga teacher whenever possible.
• As Parents ourselves we are committed to supporting you through out the course to maintain a healthy family relationshhip during a potentially stressfull time!
• Over the 3 months we will build up a close relationship and we will remain your mentors for the next year.
• We support our teachers long after the course has ended. We are very much a family and see ourselves as a supportive team.
• We run a membership scheme for our teachers. For a small fee we put you on our directory as well give you free access to a resource centre and teacher training days through out the year.

POST GRADUATE ADVANCED SUN POWER YOGA ( formerly Level 2) to COMPLETE 370 CONTACT HOURS AND 500HRS STUDY .AFTER 2010 WE WILL BE RUNNING ADVANCED COURSES TO MEET A LEVEL 3 STANDARD RATHER THAN A BWY ONE. AS WE ARE A REPS LEVEL 3 AND APPROVED YMCA CENTRE ALL OUR GRADUATES WILL BE ABLE TO WORK IN ALL HEALTH CLUBS, GYMS, GOVERNMENT BUILDINGS, HOSPITALS AND SCHOOLS AS WELL AS ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD I.E:EUROPE, UK, USA, AUSTRALIA, NZ.

You need to have been qualified for at least one year and had teaching experience though this is open to other teachers who have completed 200hrs.

• A further 10 weeks training, one day a week 9-30am -6pm.
• Exploring more deeply pranayama, the bandhas, mantra and mudra.
• Use of a wheel chair in a class.
• The chakras and their realationship to the postures and organs of the body.
• The Theory of Hatha Yoga lectures.
• The Warrior poses and mens health issues.
• Exploring the Endocrine System.
• Body and Mind Centering and The Circuits of the Brain.
• Technique classes and assessments will be on going.

We run an interest free 3 month to 12 month installment plan; please ask for details. After you have finished your course we run a membership/subscription scheme whereby for £75 a year you have the use of our web directory, links to your website and teacher training days for contact hours for free!

Our TERMS AND CONDITIONS: A non-returnable deposit of £600 is required to secure each place, the remainder to be paid by start of course. Arrangements can be made by contract to pay in 3 installments. Please note: Under no circumstances will there be refunds after the course has begun and prior to a month before commencement. No transfer of fees to another course for any reason unless substantiated by a Doctors letter or for bereavement or extreme circumstances that again must be proved leagally. Your YMCA/CYQ Fees are £150; due after completion of that course work and in addition to the above.This gives you 3 accreditations for one course! Including REPS at Level 3!
